Meet Your Counselor

“Vulnerability is the core of shame and fear and our struggle for worthiness, but it appears that it’s also the birthplace of joy, of creativity, of belonging, of love.”

about

Haley D. Erickson

I am a relationship counselor in sunny St. Pete, FL; married to my college sweetheart; and mom to three wild, adorable boys.

I earned my undergraduate and graduate degrees from Florida State University and now have years of clinical experience working with clients in various settings since 2011.

I’ve supported a diversity of clients including victims of violence, adolescents, individuals navigating perfectionism and confidence struggles, athletes working through mindsets and emotions related to performance or injury, mothers and fathers transitioning into parenthood or new family dynamics, grown children challenged by painful relationships with family members, and countless couples working to increase or restore intimacy and connection.

I’m excited to bring my expertise as a Level 1 and Level 2 certified Gottman therapist to couples seeking support in understanding and addressing their specific joys and struggles, nurturing deeper connections, and sharing growth. Through this specialized approach, I assist partners in finding the language and actionable steps to enhance their understanding of each other, fostering a journey towards mutual understanding and resilience.

In my practice, I’m deeply committed to increasing compassion for oneself and others. This journey towards self-compassion not only enriches personal growth but also creates a greater sense of empathy towards others, ultimately leading to the inner peace we all aspire to achieve through counseling.
